Overview and History
All rooms in Frontier are double occupancy. Frontier Hall, built in 1959, was the last of four residence halls built on adjacent blocks known as the "Superblock" located on the East Bank. The East Bank is home to programs such as Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Women's Studies, Psychology, Architecture, and Language Studies among others. The buildings that house these programs are in close proximity to Frontier and are easily accessible by foot, bike, and the free campus shuttle system.

Frontier Hall can house 735 guests and is two blocks from Stadium Village, a popular commercial and eating establishment area. Within easy walking distance are Williams Arena (basketball) and Mariucci Arena (hockey) and the new Sports Pavilion, University Recreational Center and Natatorium (swimming).

Frontier Dining
The dining hall for Frontier is located in Pioneer Hall and is connected by tunnel. Frontier has two large public area lounges which provide two TVs (one of which is big screen), one ping pong table, vending machines, fooseball, billiard and study & reading areas. The main lounge has a fireplace, social area and a baby grand piano. Outdoor facilities include a lighted basketball court and a sand volleyball court as well as large grassy areas for football games and frisbee tosses. There are barbecue grills and picnic tables for residents' use.

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
